Sex Therapy

Sex is a natural and meaningful part of being human—yet for many people, it’s one of the most difficult topics to talk about openly. Challenges with intimacy, desire, or sexual pain are more common than most realize, but they can feel deeply isolating. Sex therapy offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore these concerns with care and understanding.

Whether you’re hoping to reconnect with your partner, work through past experiences, or feel more at ease in your own body, therapy can help you move toward a more fulfilling, authentic experience of intimacy.

What we can explore together:

  • Differences in desire or libido
  • Difficulty with arousal or satisfaction
  • Pain or discomfort during intimacy
  • Healing from sexual trauma or betrayal
  • Rebuilding trust after infidelity
  • Renewing connections in long-term relationships
  • Communicating needs, boundaries, and desires

Intimacy and Sex Therapy

Sex Therapy for Couples Restoring Passion, Connection & Trust Marriage is about more than sharing a life together — it’s about feeling deeply connected, both emotionally and physically. When intimacy becomes strained, couples often feel lonely, frustrated, or even hopeless.

Our sex therapy process creates a safe, supportive space to talk about intimacy without shame or pressure. Whether you’re struggling with desire differences, painful experiences, or the aftermath of betrayal, sex therapy can help you rebuild closeness and discover a renewed sense of joy in your relationship.

How It Works

Sex therapy at Marriage Intensive is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — the same proven approach we use in our intensives. Together, we’ll work on:

Strengthening emotional safety and trust Improving communication around intimacy Healing past wounds that interfere with connection Rekindling passion and playfulness.

This isn’t about techniques or performance. It’s about creating a sexual relationship that feels secure, loving, and aligned with who you are as a couple.

Integrating Sex Therapy into Intensives For some couples, intimacy issues surface most strongly during our Marriage Intensives. In these cases, we can integrate sex therapy directly into your intensive process, giving you focused time and space to address both emotional and physical disconnection together. Take the Next Step If intimacy feels out of reach in your marriage, you don’t have to stay stuck. With the right guidance, couples can rediscover not just passion, but trust, joy, and playfulness.
